A 'SEEYANEVER2020' TOAST WITH ITALIAN BUBBLY
by Susannah Gold of Avvinare, Vinitaly International Italian Wine Ambassador
Prosecco is a wine dear to me... it brings back memories of family summer holidays in Europe, of parties at university where Prosecco was often the affordable sparkling wine of choice, of summer in Treviso a few years ago. Little else is more perfect for a sweltering Italian summer than cold Prosecco and good company. A few years ago I had grant money I needed to finish up before I moved on to my next project and an architect friend in Munich happened to be free that summer so we drove over and explored every corner of Treviso. We stayed in agriturismos everywhere and every afternoon just when we got back to relax before dinner the staff would greet guests with a complimentary bottle of Prosecco... per room. Between Rolle, Conegliano, Asolo, Cison di Valmarino, and every other village in Treviso, we had a glorious summer full of photography, buildings, art, fashion, food, espresso, and all manner of Prosecco. ITALIAN SPARKLERS PAIRED WITH PARTY STARTER
by Deanna Keng, contributor or Asian Test Kitchen
If I appreciated the Prosecco, then I loved the Val D’Oca Sparkling Rose wine. The kind of wine you don’t really need anyone to share because you can drink the whole bottle on your own. Not too acidic or fruity but more like sparkling pink lemonade with a hint of strawberries. Like the shade of ballet slippers it comes in, it was too delicate for many of the foods I tried them with. In the end, it paired best with just some fresh raspberries. I would liken this wine to an innocent peck on the cheeks you could greet your guests with at the start of the party or bid them farewell with when it’s over. Most of all, you can kiss that headache goodbye with these Italian sparklers (leggi qui l'articolo completo)

POPPING THE CORK ON VAL D'OCA PROSECCO
by Wanda Mann, fondatrice di Wine With Wanda
Ah, Prosecco. We pop the bottles, we toast with it, we use it as the base for our Mimosas, Bellinis, and spritzes. But do we actually know it? I fear that we take Prosecco for granted. To learn more about the world's most popular sparkling wine, in celebration of National Prosecco Week, I recently chatted on Instagram Live with Lorenzo Rispoli, export manager for Val d’Oca – Cantina Produttori di Valdobbiadene (guarda l'intervista di Wanda a Lorenzo Rispoli, Export Manager Val D'Oca)
WHAT TO DRINK RIGHT NOW! PROSECCO FROM VAL D'OCA
by Linda Delmonico Prussen
It’s just about that time, time to look for the bubbly for New Year’s Eve. This is the hardest wine column I’ve had to write. As a writer, I strive to express myself eloquently, but 2020 simply sucked. And, quite honestly? That might be as eloquent as anyone can get about this year.
On that note, I love sparkling wine and whether you’re celebrating the end of the year from Hades, or the beginning of what we all hope and pray are better times, sparkling wines can only help. (continua la lettura)
